Cavs want Dyess
Antonio McDyess can't re-sign with the Pistons until December 7. A lot of people think it's a foregone conclusion he'll return, but that's not stopping the Cavs from trying to change his mind, or Kevin Garnett from calling him "family." It's going to be a long month.

Family eh, Kevin? I’ve gotten into some fights with my brother, but I’ve never thrown a basketball at him and then ran away like a pansy.

Ever heard of brotherly love LB? lol!
I figure if Dyess doesn’t sign with someone before mid-next week, he’s definitely coming back to Det. I guess I’m a bit confused as to why Det can’t bring him back for 1.9M (whatever the figure is) this year and in the same contract give him alot more dollars next year. I think I’d rather have Dyess mentoring Amir & Max than Sheed.
With Dyess, Max, Kwame, Stuck & Affalo/Hermann in the second unit and spiced with Bynum, our second unit is probably better than 10 teams starting unit.

That new KG commercial makes me want to bathe with a toaster. In the most non-malicious way, I hope to God/Allah/Vishnu/Pan/Inward-Seeing Eye that one of the Big 3 has a career ending injury this season. And if it’s Garnett, I want him to cry. On camera.

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

Rob G – totally forgot! Tried to be as quickly non-discriminatory as possible but I might have left out the most benevolent (and delicious) deity of all.

Joel-
I agree. Was Garnett always this much of a douche or did it only manifest itself when he came to Boston? Did I not just notice it when he was in Minnesota? I mean I always knew Paul Pierce sucked as human being but KG? Not so much.

DocZeus-
Exactly my thoughts. But now he seems to have this “don’t talk to me, I’m a basketball god” vibe about him. I just want to be like, “Psst… you’re a F*CKING basketball player. You get paid millions of dollars to play a game with a bouncing ball. Grow up. You’re about as big a deal as the size of Danny Ainge’s balls, i.e. not big.”
In short, he needs to get over himself, and I’ve officially stopped respecting him as a person, no matter how good he is at basketball.

Did you guys see Garnett guarding Jose Calderon? My first thought was “what a douchebag.” Like DocZeus, I wondered if he was like this in Minnesota.

Wow. You Pistons fans are really classy. KG beats you and all you can come up with as a response is calling him names. Nice.
Have fun with that AI experiment. Let us all know how your 2nd round playoff loss tastes…

Hoops, thanks for stopping by. Nothing says class like Kevin Garnett:

I have absolutely no idea why he would go to Cleveland. Apart from the money (ehh, he made more in a season than most people on this planet make their entire lives and that for 13 seasons) he’d get nothing. They have no basketball team there and what they’ve got isn’t championship caliber. They’ll probably lose James too when he becomes FA.

Hey Matt, thanks for the warm welcome. Look, I’m totally not the type to go around and pick fights on other teams’ blogs. I stumbled on your blog via a link from another blog. The vitriol towards KG was and is unwarranted, in my opinion. Hence, my comments on your blog.
KG is a fierce competitor – he wears his emotion on his sleeve. Trash-talking in the NBA is commonplace – it’s part of the game. While the Calderon thing was a little over the top, I love his passion for playing and wanting to man-up on Jose. You guys are obviously free to disagree. But to call KG names seemed more than a little immature to me.
That’s all I have. Peace.

I love trash talk. But why is trash talk acceptable when it’s “part of the game” but “immature” when it’s between fans? If KG read blogs instead of bouncing a basketball, he’d be talking smack about rival players in the comment section, as well.

Man, I’m upset I couldn’t find a vid of Will Bynum owning Garnett last week. I’d love to show it to Hoops. Nothing like schooling a vet after he’s been talking trash and playing nasty…

What happened to THAT vid, Matt? Forget this Calderon bullshit (excuse my language), but if Hoops had any fucking (excuse again, thanks) clue about the Garnett-McDyess incident, he wouldn’t be yapping away.
