Pistons host Nets
The Nets are still technically alive in the playoff race, but they're a long shot. To make matters worse, they'll be without Vince Carter tonight. Why is it that I'm guessing the Pistons will handle playing without Rip Hamilton better than New Jersey playing without Carter? In any case, I'll be at the game for HOOPSWORLD, but as usual, leave your thoughts in the comments.

Anyone else like me in hoping that when Blaha retires (many, many years from now) Kelser takes over for him? I really like what he adds to these broadcasts…

Why the heck are they showing the game in Black and White? This is so corny, its not even clever.

I thought it was pretty cool. I wonder how popular TV broadcasts of the 1950s Pistons were…

This is ridiculous. Rasheed’s just toying with them.

I am enjoying this game a lot – Stuckey gets better and better. A shame he was out at the start of the season-but I am seeing why there was a lot of ‘hype’ at the start – it was all well founded!
looking forward to seeing his continued development into the next few years.

I forgot Krstic was even still in the league. But there he is, fouling and doing nothing else, reminding me that he still exists.
Show off that weird-ass jumper, Nenad!

For anyone who thinks people on this blog jump off a cliff too quickly after a loss, check out detroittigersweblog.com…the posters make us look well-balanced. We’re literally two losses and Willis getting shelled from people saying we shouldn’t have made a trade for MIGUEL CABRERA. Unreal.

Memo to whoever’s guarding Dyess: Uh… you’re team’s playing man-to-man, not zone.

This team makes Denver look like the Spurs.

Lovin Afflalo’s d on Harris. Harris doesn’t shoot many jumpers, so you’re not going to harass him into a 2-11 night. But Afflalo (and the help defender of pick and roll) has done a great job keeping him out of the paint imho.

Dice is clearly the player of the game. Glad to see his jump shot is back!

I watched the 2004 game 5 triple OT game between the Nets and the Pistons earlier – it’s amazing how much the Nets have changed since then… and how the Pistons have really just stayed the same – and when you look at the standings, it’s amazing. Joe D is the man!

yeah rob, it’s easy to take beat downs like this for granted. but most teams aren’t as good as we are.

I got a nickname proposition for y’all:
Walter Herrmann, Victory Cigar

I’d make it “Victory Ciggarr” just because.

the “rest the starters or go into the playoffs on a win streak” problem? not a problem.

Rob G.
I was at that game 5 and it is the single greatest game I’ve ever seen, live or on television. Hands down, the Pistons learned how to compete in that battle, and even though they lost it, it paved the way for the championship. Incredible.
Last night’s game wasn’t a thing like it. Entertaining, though.

It appears that Stuckey is more of a PG than most thought. He seems to like finding AJ and Maxie in the paint too. If he can start hitting threes a little more consistently, he is going to be a deadly Point Guard. The Piston’s backcourt looks solid for several years!

If stuckey finds a consistent J watch out. I finally found a stuckey jersey a few weeks back. Im ready for some playoff basketball.

Nice McDyess game. Props.
I was gonna say something about NJ’s weaker bigs, but nah, as long as Antonio racks up a set of better games against anyone, that’s what he should be doing.
He has had a hell of a year for rebounds. Without his rebounding, and with Rasheed’s 2nd wing lesser rebounding, we’d be in board trouble all year.
