Shock advance to East Finals

As PG4L said, "Congrats to the 2008 Detroit Shock for advancing to the Eastern finals for the third straight time after absolutely DECIMATING the Indiana Fever tonight and doing so without their best player who was PURPOSELY injured by the Fever in the game before. Score one for justice …"

I’m looking forward to a det/la finals, and mahorn roughing up candace parker this time. Looks like Davidson needs to change the address to the palace again pretty soon.

I have seen the Shock play this year a number of times and even though I am rooting for them, I just don’t think they have what it takes to win the EC.

I hope I am wrong.

We shall see.

Mike, I would have been worried too if Conn. made the dance… the Liberty otoh don’t scare me at all.

Is the WNBA good yet? I watched a few games back in the day and it was painful. How is Candace Parker? Wasn’t she supposed to be awesome?

Candace parker is the real deal. As for the wnba, It’s good at being what it is, and not trying to be the nba. If you come looking for the nba with sports bras, then you’ll be disappointed. Hard not to like the shock, though, esp. with how successful they’ve been while keeping the bad girls image.

That’s true — it’s always good watching someone win, whether it’s basketball or bowling. Success is exciting.
