Amir = rebounds
The Pistons are 20th in the league in rebounding. When Amir Johnson plays at least 20 minutes a game, they perform like a top-10 rebounding team. (I know, I know: he grabbed just one board in 17 minutes on Wednesday, but still, the numbers don't lie.)

With Amir, Max, McDyess, and the new, old-style Sheed, the Pistons have a pretty nice front line. Even Kwame isn’t all that bad, really.
Now if they only had a few decent guards we’d really have something here :)

@Michael:
well, at least we have a future all-star in Stuckey, and a past all-star who can still hack it in Hamilton. Other than that, I’ll take that other guy who is on our squad, who is getting play in the absense of Chauncey. What’s his name again? Oh yeah, Aaron Afflalo.

This was true in the past.
But now that the other Pistons on the court have all but frozen Johnson out of the offense his entire game has gone to sheet.
Trade Johnson now.

I don’t think there’s any conspiracy to freeze Amir out of the offense. I think he’s just bad at scoring, so a player like Rip (who is good at scoring) would prefer to shoot it himself as opposed to chance it with Amir. I think most people do this when they play. You’ll give it up a few times to the new guy, but if they bobble it, or chuck a shot off the backboard, or commit an offensive foul, maybe you’ll think twice about passing to them next time. I’m not saying it’s right, but it happens. Amir needs to take it to the rim hard, like Max, and earn the respect of his team mates, his opponents, and the officials.

I see that the old Mike is back.
Maybe, the Pistons should run a token play for Amir at the start of the game like they did with Big Ben.

Mike, did you comment on my blog under Buddha fan? Enough with the “freezing out Amir” conspiracy nonsense. How many blogs do you troll on, guy?
