Detroit will get their first test away from the great state of Michigan on Thursday night when they take on the Mavericks in Dallas.  And nationally, fans will get a chance to watch the Pistons for the first time this (exhibition) season.

Unfortunately, both rosters will be depleted.  For the Pistons, Tayshaun Prince, Ben Wallace, and Charlie Villanueva will be out.  Dallas will be without Josh Howard and, as of today, Shawn Marion.  

As a result, we're going to get a good, live, look at some of the younger Pistons.  DaJuan Summers, Austin Daye, and Jonas Jerebko are all supposed to play significant time.  It is unknown at the time who will be starting in place of the injured Pistons (and Mavs), but I assume one will be Chris Wilcox.  Austin Daye and Drew Gooden I just blindly threw at the wall.  We'll see if it sticks.

As you can see from above, game is set for 8:30 PM EST and will be on NBATV, which is available on most cable packages outside of basic.  Preseason games are free.

Hopefully, with the game on TV, we'll get some people to come here and discuss the game as it's going on.  The Pistons aren't the only team in preseason trying to get better for the regular season.
