Detroit needs to get back on track after a couple of tough losses and they'll have a pretty good opportunity to on Saturday night against the 1-4 Grizzlies.
Fans will get their first opportunity to see Charlie Villanueva in the red, white, and blue (via highlights at least) as he will see his first action of the preseason. He had missed the first five preseason games due to a tweaked hamstring.
Detroit will most likely, however, be without Tayshaun Prince again as he is listed as doubtful for the game. He cut the bottom of his big toe on Tuesday night against the Wizards when he was inadvertently kicked by Javel McGee. It's not expected to be serious, but it's in a weird spot and Detroit would prefer it heals completely before bringing him back.
That means Austin Daye will probably get his second straight start, opposite his "big bro" Rudy Gay. Ben Wallace will be back in action tonight, but might see less than normal time, as Charlie Villanueva will be in the front court mix for the first time.
As I'm sure you've figured out already, this game will not be televised. You can hear the game on 950 WWJ in Detroit or these Memphis Grizzlies radio stations.
