A Scorer’s Aura: The Ben Gordon Documentary
That's the trailer for the aforementioned Ben Gordon documentary. I'm not sure when/where/how the finished product will be released, but I should have more info soon.

I know he’s wearing our jersey now, but why would anyone want to watch a documentary about a shooting guard who’s yet to accomplish anything of significance in the NBA?

I know the answer: The Long Tail. That is, the decreasing cost of media production in the digital age means that one can produce material for small audiences and still hope to profit.

Memphis is sporting new duds for Opening Night when they play us.

I’m worried about Memphis without Iverson, thanks to that injury. Might be smart to think about rounding out their guard situation a bit more. Maybe they should sign Stephon Marbury, bring in some veteran leadership in Iverson’s absense.
While they’re at it, they might want to think about trading for Eddy Curry (touch it, dave) and Al Harrington. Can you imagine this lineup?
PG: Stephon Marbury
SG: Allen Iverson
SF: Al Harrington
PF: Zach Randolph
C: Eddy Curry
DOMINANCE.

@Birdman:
He is on the trade market, that is a damn good call. I’d hate to see him pried away from Monta “Scooter Tooter” Ellis though…

I agree with Rob G. It’s crazy how cheaply you can put together a video package. Especially with SLR cameras now sporting wicked HD video. They’re 100x better than most cameras because of the versatility of your SLR lenses. I’m pretty sure I could make a nicer-looking movie than that BG doc. This is just a quick sample some guys threw together in an afternoon with a new Canon SLR to test and it’s already better than the BG footage:

Come on Garrett, that’s bullshit and you know it. You think Ben Gordon can really afford a budget for one of those fancy dancy cameras?

@Garrett:
But seriously, I wanted a Nikon D90 SO bad, shopped around forever trying to get a good price for my first SLR. I ended up getting a D60 instead… no HD video. Still, I love the thing, but some of the video coming out of these cameras are unreal.

None of this digital camera mumbo-jumbo answers MFBG’s question:
“why would anyone want to watch a documentary about a shooting guard who’s yet to accomplish anything of significance in the NBA?”
So here’s my demographic analysis: Who will watch “A Scorer’s Aura”?
1) The employees of EAS
2) Ben Gordon’s mom
3) Ben Gordon, while wearing a fake mustache and referring to himself as “Mr. Incognito.”
Help me out. Think of more demographics.

OT, but in Langlois’ latest piece:
“The tape that Brown’s worn on his left hand since the early days of training camp keeps getting a little thicker and more noticeable. Brown said Wednesday that it gets jostled every day in practice, hinders his ability to catch and handle the ball and is getting worse instead of better.”
Hinders his ability to catch and handle the ball? Now, that CAN’T be good.

I’m interested!
Then again, I’m a big UConn fan so…
