Kwame Brown should be good to go by Wednesday
If anyone was concerned about the severity of Kwame Brown's left hand injury, have no fear:
Pistons center Kwame Brown sat out Friday night’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks with a sore left hand, but Kuester said in a text Saturday that it was just a precaution.
In fact, Kuester added that the X ray on his hand turned out OK and Brown will be good to go when the season starts Wednesday at Memphis.
That should bring about a sigh of relief for Pistons fans, especially considering how well Kwame had been playing this preseason.
Now the question remains, who will start at power forward and center on opening night? Has Kwame played well enough to earn the start at center? Who will start at power forward -- Villanueva or Ben Wallace?
Personally, I'd like to see Kwame and Big Ben on the floor at tip off because I think they provide the best defensive combo. Who does everyone else want to see starting for the Pistons?

It’s sad, but we’re going to have like $17 million coming off the bench between CV31 and Gordon. Who would have ever thought that Big Ben would be good enough to start again? Or that Brown would be good enough to start over Wilcox (who I had pegged to be the starter after we signed him)?

"There were arms coming from everywhere, and I knew they weren’t going for the ball," Miller said. "I was just trying to get [the shot] up before they called some crap like ‘on the ground.’ "
"What do you want me to do?" Wright asked. "Do you want me to Derek Fisher him?"
"Give them some fucking credit, i mean for real." Jackson said.
"I just fell on my face for no reason," Bryant deadpanned. "I'm a klutz."
"Fucking right i'm preachin' it!" Carlisle replied.
"Rough life, isn't it. It's tough all over, isn't it." Smith chuckled.

Wallace/Brown
there’s your starters. We just need them out there to help us get off on a good defensive tempo. CV31 and Wilcox can be our main bigs off the bench.

Brown is a good player.....
….im not sure why everyone thinks he cant play……yes he was the overall number 1 pick….But we didnt pick him number one and most importantly he didnt pick himself numner 1……He doesnt have to be that player here in Detroit…..hes put up solid numbers over his career and is a above average defensive player…..Glad hes back…….Go Kwame Go Pistons

brown is 6-11 and 270
I dont know if any of you caught the pistons laker game last year but brow was doing his thing on the boards and that is what we need from him defense and boards and size. I agree the starting five should include big ben and brown then tay, hamilton and stuckey. make cv earn his. we know he can score but is he the kind of winner we need and can he learn to defend

Even though this year we might see the Pistons be Offense bound this year
Would definately like to see Big Ben and Kwame starting to set a defensive pace in the first quarter. Before the Memphis game Kwame’s averages were on par with the good starting centers in the league from last year. Not the top 5 mind you but like the 2nd 5 (you know what I’m trying to say.)
I agree with you Allen J we don’t need a high scoring center we have plenty of other of guys that can score. The national media says the Pistons will miss the “Defensive” work of Sheed and McDyess, that’s what we need Kwame to take over doing.
