Deron paves way for Rip's road out?
PistonPowered is reporting that the release of Deron Washington may clear the way for multiple players to come back in a deal that would send out Rip Hamilton. RotoWorld picked up on this, and there's been some speculation on it here and there.
Would anyone really be all that surprised? The Pistons could use a young big man that they could develop, and it would free up Ben Gordon to start at SG, and more importantly I believe, allow Will Bynum to get a more prominent role.

This is and will happen.....
……before to long……Id much rather keep Tay and get rid of Rip……The question is what will they get and who would need a good sg?

Hmm
For me the question of who to trade is answered by who we are getting back. If we get ANOTHER guy who can score (say Amare Stoudemire) then trade Rip, we don’t need that many scorers on the floor. If we are getting a defensvie big man who won’t put up much points (Emeka Okafor, even though this is highly unlikely) ship out Tayshaun, Rip is far more likely to put up 30 points than Tay is

BOSH
pistons should sign and trade for him cuz they will need him for the future. they can play him at PF/C and have a pretty good team. Trade rip and a draft pick for Bosh

I say we wait and See
Lets see how the Experiment of Rip with Little Ben will work, i personally believe it will be great. Lets not Scream for any trades this early, remember that last time we had an early season trade??? Yeah thats what i thought, no one wants to see that happen again

By the way
why Bosh??? there is a reason Toronto sucks, it is because they have 2 Big Men who want to play only outside games (Bargnani and Bosh) and now they have added a 3rd (Turkoglu). Toronto has no inside presence, if Bosh was going to the post all the time and backing down guys then i would say yeah lets pull the trigger but he is not, if we get a big guy he needs to be a guy who plays around the rim not a guy who plays 15 feet out, this is why Okafor would have been nice and i can’t believe we didn’t throw an offer out there for him Prince>Chandler we could have got him easy

oh and to continue my rant
Do you realize we have 4 Guards deep? If we trade Rip and start Gordon who is his backup? Stuckey is playing a lot of Minutes and Bynum is his primary backup, Washington is gone, and Chucky Atkins aint as good as he once was. No Rip is a great option for this team and contrary to your beliefs Gordon would RATHER come off the Bench so please stop with the we must trade Rip crap. If anyone should be traded it should be Prince because there are 3 young guys behind him waiting to start (Daye,Jerebko,Summers) so please enough of the Rip crap

Why Rip
Im not sure anybody noticed but Rip is the only one with the most heart on the team. really when the team was in AI turmoil he sat the bench kept his mouth closed until no results was being answered. Came in and did pretty ok. Look at stucky ask him to play the point. and nope he wont do it. he’d rather shot and have 55 pointsand loose the have 10 assist and 12 points and run the floor and win.

I think this could work.
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Rip for Okafor, since NO desperately needs help for CP3, and Detroit desperately needs a big man.
Stuckey 24/Bynum 24
Gordon 36/Stuckey 12
Prince 33/Daye 15
Villanueva 33/ Maxiell 10/ Wallace 5
Okafor 36/ Brown 7/ Wallace 5
That doesn’t look so bad, does it?
Things could be worse. We could have kept Boylan.

again why trade Rip???
Tayshaun trade Tayshaun ok stop with the Rip Trades. Nice Lineup except for the fact that Bynum is not a Starting PG (Great backup) and Gordon doesn’t want to Start he prefers coming off the bench (Honestly what don’t you people understand?) meaning Stuckey and Bynum are your Starting Gaurds (Honestly this sucks). Prince has Daye looking for time and Jerebko also (Even Summers) so he make the most logical trade sense.

trade Rip
unless he goes back to being the best mid-range guy in the league. Once he started shooting the three ,he fell off. The percentages tell the story. Now with that being said,if he goes back to the mid-range game along with B.G.‘s Long range game off the bench,it could be dangerous. You don’t need 2 3 point shooters backing each other up. It makes the offense so predictable. And thats not to say Rip should stop shooting threes altogether. He needs a greater mid-range to long-range mixture in his game.
