X-Rays on Richard Hamilton's Ankle are Negative

As I just mentioned in the game recap, Richard Hamilton came down awkwardly on his right ankle late in the fourth quarter when he was fouled by O.J. Mayo during a jump shot attempt.  

Hamilton split his free throws, limped down the court, and after Memphis made an easy bucket, Detroit called timeout to get Rip off the floor.  Hamilton immediately left for the locker room with head trainer, Arnie Kander, to have it x-rayed: 

X-rays were negative, but that doesn't mean Hamilton is out of the woods yet. The ankle is sore to the point where he had to be carted into the locker room afterward in a wheelchair.

"Usually, I try to walk it off, but when I went to the free throw line, I couldn't push off of it," Hamilton said.

The Pistons said Hamilton will be re-evaluated Thursday.
