Ben Wallace Welcomes New (Pre)Season with Emphatic Tip Dunk

Who scored the first points of the Pistons 2009-2010 season?

"That old guy who can't hack it anymore."  And it wasn't any easy 'ole boring layup, it was a statement slam, posterizing Jermaine O'Neal's lazy attempt to rebound Rodney Stuckey's missed running floater.

Take a peek at Big Ben's tip dunk that had the sparse crowd at the Palace, the gong, and fans at home watching going nuts:

Ben Wallace played a little over six minutes in the first quarter, had four points, and two rebounds.  Welcome back, Ben.

Ben looked good, I thought. Let’s hope he gets more than 11 minutes a game. If all he is good for is 11 minutes, that’s kind of a let down. But it’s only preseason. Rip only got 17 minutes and should be getting roughly 20 more than that so we should see Ben more.

If he only dunks like that everyonce in a while....

I"ll be happy he’s on this team. Bad reason really, but I’ll be happy.
