Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince Practice... Lightly
With the Pistons currently on a three game losing streak, fans are naturally looking to the return of Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince. And there is progress, albeit slight.
Via the Free Press:
Hamilton took shots for the first time since he sprained his ankle in the season opener. But he didn't run nor jump, so it doesn't appear that he's close to returning.
Prince took some shots and also did some light jogging but said he wasn’t ready for contact yet.
And shockingly, Prince's recovery seems further along than Hamilton's. It's surprising because some believed Prince was going to miss the season with the ruptured disc.
Either way, I don't think anybody expected Hamilton to be out a month, or more, when he came down awkwardly on O.J. Mayo's foot in the season opener (especially when the x-rays were announced as negative).
Also, Will Bynum sprained his ankle against the Lakers, but played sparingly against the Blazers and is expected to play verse the Jazz tonight.

I think Rip has something mental going on here...
he said this is an injury he isn’t very familiar with. He might be acting over cautious.
Tayshaun’s a beast though. The guy played all those games straight and we thought a simple ruptured disc might keep him down? Please, Tayshaun laughs and promptly farts in our direction.

We need Rip more then Tay.....
….Jerebko, Daye and Summers are good enough at small forward…..We need Rip in there so Ben can come off the bench.

Rip
Is screwing himself i think because if he wants to prove that he is a key player he needs to get back on the court right now he is sitting and the 3 guards are doing ok not good but ok without him.

Im no Pro
But i know if i want my team to win and i could help them win i would be doing everything to try to fix my sprain, if they have trainers to help these players when does the trainer step in and say rip you should be fine in a week or something like that. Its been a month now and he dont need surgery so what do you do sit and let him think its mental.

These guards have been playing heavy minutes so we need RIP back asap.
BG and Bynum have maybe played the most and it is starting to show. We need to get wins from these two games.

Could it be
That rip is resting some to save up for later in the season because they usually run out of gas in the later part of the season. But for a bad sprain it takes about 3 to 4 weeks but thats for a regular person right? not someone with a trainer that gets paids thousands to help you heal faster
