Tayshaun Prince's Consecutive Games Streak Will End at 496

According to the Pistons official twitter, Tayshaun Prince will join Richard Hamilton in street clothes tonight vs. the Magic:

Wow - this just in: Prince out tonight. Just showed up with a "lower back strain" and he's out. Game streak end at 496.

Tayshaun's streak was 2nd only to Andre Miller (535) and was the active leader in consecutive games started.

UPDATE:

Tayshaun will also apparently miss the upcoming road trip (h/t Pistons Nation):

Prince will not travel with the team to Toronto on Wednesday or Orlando on Friday and his status will be re-evaluated on Saturday.

We’re without Rip and Tay, and yet we’re only down 50-49 the last time I checked. Against Orlando.

Anyone else thinking something is wrong with that picture?

I watched the fourth quarter. Carter wasn’t playing. Howard only played 15 minutes due to fouls. Lewis is still out (I knew that beforehand). Not really a surprise that we won.

So dissapointed when I heard this

He’s been an ironman for us, it was a great run. But on the plus side, there’s less pressure on him to play through injuries so maybe he’ll get abit more rest this year and be fresher for the playoffs.

We didn't lose the games, we just ran out of time -- Bobby Layne
