Detroit's ideal trade partner
With the burden of quarterbacking the team off his shoulders, Rodney Stuckey has become a much more productive efficient player, albeit in a limited sample of games. Many fans held the view that Stuckey's long-term home would be at SG, but if that transition were to happen it would mean the Pistons have 3 guards who have all earned starter's minutes at the same spot.
Many fans and armchair pundits have speculated on the future both Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince. Both play at positons of relative depth for the Pistons and both have veteran savvy that make them marketable. It would probably suit Detroit best to ship Hamilton somewhere, but his contract makes him the less attractive chip.
And of course, it takes two to Tango and finding an adequate trade partner for the Pistons isn't the easiest thing to find. As it stands I imagine the Pistons would want a pass-first PG that can be a floor general (although scoring output is negligible), perhaps a 3-point shooter that can help stretch the floor and maybe some additional beef to occupy the lane.
Seems to me the best fit might just be the Portland Trailblazers. They had sky-high hopes at the beginning of the season and injuries have decimated them to the point that their first big man off the bench is Juwan Howard and they don't have any real backup wings to speak of, which is putting a heavy load on both Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.
I can see the Pistons being interested in Andre Miller, though he doesn't make enough money to make salaries match with Prince or Hamilton.
What other teams do you see as a fit, if the Pistons were to truly look at adding a traditional point guard to the squad?

I hope it'll be NO Hornets
They’re about to go broke, if we can steal some of their talents, it’ll be fantastic.
A Maxiell-Wilcox-2nd round pick for Emeka Okafor sound good :)
