Frustrating... Hornets 95, Pistons 87

The Kuester face palm just about sums it up -- after tossing various household objects and punching some dry wall.  There are not many productive things to say after the Pistons allowed a 16-point 3rd quarter lead to slip away and ultimately, lose by eight.

Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments tonight and I'll have a full recap up tomorrow when I get a chance to collect mine. If you missed the game here is the box score.

it was hard to watch parts of the second half

just kept watching the hornets chip away and us not making shots and not making stops like we were in the first half. ugly.

Well, the first half was damn impressive

Then it’s like a different team came out for the second half

ummmmm

Ok so this is gonna be the pessimist in me, BUT, am I the only one who’s getting kind of fed up with all the talk about the 3-point shooting of this team once they get healthy? I understand we haven’t had a full team since opening night, (still kinda wonder what RIP was doing out there still…) but at some point, all the talk of just wait has to end. It seems every post on pistons.com is a “just wait when we get everyone back” post. Don’t get me wrong I’m decently happy with what I’ve seen outta the team so far, it’s just, at some point you gotta realize maybe this is the year of injuries, and you just gotta talk about what you saw, with none of the just wait talk.
Or maybe it’s that I have no sleep and am a very angry person with no sleep…
Thoughts?

I don't know how it pertains to the 3-point shooting...

But I definitely know what you mean about the “just wait until we get everyone back” talk. I’m not one for excuses and this team has shown it’s more than capable of beating upper echelon teams without some of their better players, so losses like tonight are unacceptable in my opinion.

However....

…..Thats why we lost man…..We ran out of steam at teh end…..You could see those jump shots in the 4th qtr were short…..The bursts wernt there to drive the lane…..Yes it was a tough loss but it didnt surprise me either…….This team just ran out of steam back to back are tough on the road even with a healthy team let alone a team missing 3 stars.

If we had a full roster for this one....

….we would have won….I beliebe that if rip, tay and gordon were healthy we win…..Its simply the fact that it was a back to back game with a short bench again….If we were healthy and at full strength we wouldnt have been short opn all are jump shots in th 4th.

I agree with that

That was a hard game to watch, hate losing a lead like that, especially when you see it coming. It looked like we ran out of steam at the end, we lost a step, did not rebound well and the more shots were short.

I said after their 5 game winning steak they would have a string of loses.

They are still very young and need Gordon back in the fold. Charlie V could be amazing. His conditioning isn’t up to par for a guy his age. If he could give a strong 30min every night his #’s would be great.

Bernard, Percy and AP oh my!
