New starting 4?
There is a lot of discussion about perhaps reinserting Charlie V. back into the starting lineup following his string of white-hot (and efficient) offensive play. But I gotta say, the more I watch the Pistons crew, I think I would rather have Jonas Jerebko slide into the four spot (at least once Tayshaun Prince returns). He isn't the biggest player, but he plays tough, uses his feet really well and is a good pick and roll defender. He also hustles down the court and puts himself where he needs to be on offense. I am not going to bash Charlie V., but I'm not sure the Pistons want his defense (or lack thereof) to start off games and I wouldn't be surprised to see him come off the bench the rest of the year — especially once some scoring punch returns to the lineup.
Jonas Jerebko — Future starting PF for the Pistons? Yea or Nay.

He's certainly got the height to play there
But I think I’m with BBF, he probably needs more strength to handle the bigger PFs in the league.

I can see the resistance due to size, but I guess I’m just thinking about this option when looking at the alternatives. If it comes down to Charlie Villanueva (6-11, 232 pounds) versus Jonas Jerebko (6-10, 230 pounds), I’d rather go with JJ and let Charlie V. “Microwave” it up off the bench.
In a perfect world we could have a legitimate center and let Big Ben play the 4, but unless the Clippers want to trade Kaman or Camby for Prince to open up a spot for Blake Griffin, I think it leaves the Pistons in a bit of a bind.
I rather see either JJ or Maxiell start their...
because I think their energy can help us start out right. Charlie is also thriving off the bench…don’t mess with it.

JJ could hold his own against most PF’s, really most are stretch 4’s anyway… The trouble is though what his help defense would be like… Nearly all of his career Tayshaun has had Rasheed, Ben and Dyess behind him… All very good help side defenders + post defenders… Plus factor in the inevitability of small ball with that lineup, I see a lot more open lanes…
