The Tigers made out on this deal..

I like Granderson too, but to get a legit prospect to replace him and 2 pitchers when we werent going to resign Edwin anyway…good deal considering.

The Tigers could’ve gotten soooooo much more for Grandy.

No the couldn't have

He isn’t as special as everyone has made him out to be. I’m tired of hearing how great he is, is he good? yes he is. Is he great? No, and the numbers prove that. We made out on this deal which is a bonus, better than getting nothing in return ala Palanco (who was my Tiger)

LH power bat who can flat out defend CF????

I think there are plenty of other teams out there that would’ve given up more for that. Especially since Curtis’ contract isn’t exactly huge.

Not big on baseball (I follow it sparingly), but from all that I have read (Love Granderson), it seems that we actually got the better end of this deal. The CF prospect from the Yanks is considered one of the best prospects around. And we got two pitchers, one being a good relief pitcher. We were having troubles in the 8th and 9th innings with our pitching toward the end of the season (I was watching one or two games a week after the all star break), so hopefully this will help things since we obviously cannot count on Zumaya not playing Guitar Hero.
