Easing back into things …
Since starting this site, I've tried to read every single comment posted by a reader, even if it took me a couple of days to catch up. But now, after returning from my Vegas financial nightmare vacation, I'm staring at over 1,000 unread comments (and counting). Hopefully there aren't too many flame wars that require intervention, links to brilliant articles that deserve posting or anything else important that I've missed, because it's going to take me a while to get my rhythm back.
In the meantime, here's one of the NBA's new commercials that all Pistons fans can appreciate, as seen on UATGsports.ca:
Enjoy it now, because at the rate things are going, we might not get a chance once the postseason starts. By losing seven of their last 10, the Pistons have just a three-game buffer between their current No. 7 seed and Larry Brown's Bobcats, who are currently on the outside looking in with the No. 9 seed but are making a push by winning nine of their last 13.

It’s great that you manage to read all the comments. I think it’s part of what makes DBB a great place to post and read from others — knowing the owner of the blog actually cares about the folks who post and read is rare.

I keep getting frustrated watching games that we haven’t been in an “Where Will Amazing Happen This Year?” commercial. It’s not like we haven’t won a title, been to another finals, and 4 east finals in the last 6 years. It shouldn’t be that hard. Is it a regional thing? Is that why I keep seeing the KG and LeBron versions of this commercial here in Philly?

Probably the most exciting thing you missed— Laughton is coming!

And Reggie Miller still has thinks it was goal tending. But then again, he also thinks Tyrus Thomas should average 10 blocks a game.

Oooo, I got chills when I watched that. The only thing that would have made it better is if the real audio from the clip would have clicked in at the exact moment when he blocked the ball.
And after watching that I went YouTubing and found this bit of awesomeness:

TheScore has great mini highlight videos. I love that dance montage.

That Pistons/Pacers series has to be the best NBA series of the decade. Two teams based on defense and teamwork going at each other. Look at this hilight. One great defensive play followed by a spectacular defensive play. Fantastic. Too bad the league is doing everything it can to prevent it from ever happening again.
What makes it even better is that the fools in the sports media were all hung up on the West. Meanwhile, the league’s two best teams were going at it behind their backs in the East.

I live in DC. I see the same damn ones all the time too – KG and LeBron, KG and LeBron. You’d think they’d show some love to the District and show DeShawn Stevenson wave his hand in front of his own face in slow motion.
