It is expected to be announced around 3 PM today from the Palace that Ex-Bad Boy Bill Laimbeer will resign from his coaching gig with the WNBA's Detroit Shock.

It was reported yesterday that Bill Laimbeer might be interested in the Minnesota Timberwolves vacancy as it has been a goal since his retirement from the NBA as a player to come back as an NBA Head Coach. This is presumably the reason he is walking out on the Shock midseason.

Laimbeer coached the Shock for 6 1/2 years and led them to three WNBA Championships, including one last summer.
