Celtics Shop Rondo, Allen to the Pistons

Well, here is the rumor alluded to in the comments section by one of our readers, ALWAYSBCLOSING.

Boston reportedly offered Rondo and Allen in exchange for Hamilton, Stuckey, and Prince.

As I said before, if I were Joe Dumars and I received this offer I would have laughed in the face of the offeror. That's probably why, according to the report, Boston had a lower executive pitch the trade to the Pistons, to save Ainge the embarrassment of being laughed at.

In all seriousness, giving up three of its best players for an expiring contract in Allen and a young Rondo just wasn't worth it in the Pistons opinion. The trade would have Prince going for virtually nothing in return.

This is pathetic IMO. Do they think Dumars is a complete idiot?

Allen is coming off his worst season and I think Rondo is good but can be inconsistent at times.

I really don’t think I would even accept this deal if it was Pierce and Rondo.

worst season of his career? nope, actually it was his most effecient season of his career and he improved from the previous season as a celtic, so youre wrong

It's funny how fanbases value their players differently...

I’m with you guys on the fact that Detroit would be getting royally screwed here though. Over on Celticsblog they think that they would be getting the short end of the stick.

I dont know what to think. I see Pistons fans that love it and hate it. Celts fans who love and hate it. Media seems split to.

as a celtics fan i hate this deal and wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole
Prince is overpaid and would be a backup here, basically an 11 million dollar James posey
rip hamilton had to many yearas left on his contract and just seems like a sulker
