My offseason idea
I know this is probably a null and void point after what we drafted but....
Why not go out and get Boozer in FA this year and then do a sign and trade with Toronto for Chris Bosh. They have been interested in Prince, we could give them him and maybe even RIP. That would leave us with a starting lineup looking like this
Bynum
Stuckey
Daye
Boozer
Bosh
We would have our big men that can bang under the basket. Stuckey can play off the ball and mature into the scorer that we need. Bynam looked very good at times last season, and if not then we find a way to get a pure point guard in next years draft. Daye may need some time to learn but what better way then to learn on the fly.
I absolutly hate the idea of Gordon coming here because it makes no sense. He is not going to want to come off the bench and so you will have contempt between all the guards.

I don’t think Bynum is an NBA starter. He’s an effective spark off the bench, but I don’t like him as a starter. I don’t think I’m alone on this otherwise we probably wouldn’t be hearing so much Ben Gordon talk.

I don’t care for Boozer. I like the Bosh idea. What about Amare’?

Due to the recent Shaq trade
Phoenix may be content with their cap situation for now, I was hearing Nash and Amare trade rumors during the draft however, (via radio, goddamn blackouts) but it’ll be questionable for Phoenix to give away both of their top level big men, without getting one in return. We don’t have any frontcourt players, unless we do a sign and trade with Rasheed (which could actually be a good idea, Phoenix has been high on Sheed before, plus that would reunite the Wallaces again, oh that would be fun to watch)

ESPN was reporting today that there might be a PHX/GS trade. Amare to the Warriors for Stephen Curry and a couple others… Not sure how close that is to being done but both teams confirmed they are in discussions.

that would be dissapointing
I’ve been a fan of S.T.A.T for awhile and he’s one of my favorite possibilities as a new Piston addition, defensive woes aside.
