Big Ben Wallace Not Only Grabs Rebounds, but also School Supplies for Less Fortunate Children

Here is a video from the Oakland Press of Ben Wallace and Karen Davidson gathering school supplies for the needy schools in Oakland County. I touched on this briefly in the Morning Shootaround, but MTSM reader Madpoopz was kind enough to send me an email with the actual video, so thank you for this.

It's great to see Big Ben helping the community out, really trying to win back the hearts of Pistons fans who may have gone sour on him when he took off for Chicago -- even if those aren't necessarily his intentions. Oh, and Hooper was there, too.

I really was with you for the longest time on this, but I’m slowly warming to the idea of him being back. About a week ago, I was probably indifferent and I think now I’m actually happy he’s back.

I think he can only have a positive impact on the team...

he’s not gonna complain about minutes or probably anthing at all. he’s a good guy to have playing your lower minute spots in the rotation.

it's an Email program...

kinda like windows mail. It’s made by the people who make firefox. This way I get email right to my desktop.

I voted no too.

I don’t have the same resentment that a lot of fans have for Ben Wallace. If anything, I will still applaud him for what he accomplished here during his more formidable years. The problem I have with it is I perceive it to be more of a PR move than anything else and it seems like a cheap shot at selling a few more seats rather than winning games.
