I really want another draft pick
Two teams in the NBA have three picks in the first round of this years draft. My last post was about a trade with Memphis, and I realized from your responses that I have an inflated opinion of Tayshaun Prince, but I will try again anyway. This time its Minnesota's turn.
The trade: Prince, Brown and Summers for Blount, Cardinal and a first round pick
The good: Detroit get a first round pick. Minnesota get Prince and a back up center(if he can still be called that) and still have two first round picks.
The bad: Minnesota take on about an extra 11mil. in salary for 10/11

I'd be pretty happy if we can get a playmaker and big man from this draft
If we can get an Evan Turner and a DeMarcus Cousins, I’ll say we had a good draft

Prince's contract runs out
Before the Timberwolves plan on winning. Only teams that would take on Prince are those that think they can win a title in the next 2 years, and even then probably no better than expirings for him.
He's registering a higher PER
than any player in the NCAA for the last 8 years. Draft that big fella, like yesterday.
(but we all know Joe is gonna draft Aminu, fuckin’ asshole)
The question is not whether we should tank, but rather, will it be intentional or not?
We are going to the lottery, one way or another. We will either try really hard to win and forgo developing the young guys (ala last night) and still lose, or we will start developing the young guys and lose anyway.
I'll all for shutting down the vets.
And purposefully tanking. Ain’t no shame in my game. I want me some DeMarcus Cousins. I think he ends up being better than Wall. By a wide margin. Game-changing guards? There are lots of them in the league. Game-changing big men with a post game? There are like 3. He will add to that number.
Post presence coupled with above average defense.
That’s our #1 need this year.

My you have a strange way of pronouncing Demarcus Cousins.
That man is the truth. We draft him, I’m buying the jersey.

Not with that number
You better pick another number, bro. That one is retired.

#51 is cool.
Becoming of a large dude like Cousins. There aren’t many 51s in the league..if any.

A short list
The only player currently wearing #51 is Sean Williams in NJ. The only two Pistons to ever wear it were Ben Coleman for 9 games in the 1993-94 season and and Erwin Mueller from 70-73.
So, yeah. He could pretty much make that bad-boy his own.
