If you're like me, you'll be watching 78 or so Detroit Pistons games this year, only missing a few due to travel or actually caving to a request from your better half. But on days off, when the Pistons aren't playing and you're still jonesing for some hoops, who do you watch? What team(s) do you enjoy and root for against their competition? These are pet teams, the teams you enjoy watching when your Pistons aren't televised.
Me? In the Eastern Conference, I'm looking forward to watching pretty much the whole Central Division. I love the team that John Hammond built in Milwaukee, and the addition of Corey Maggette could potentially get them past the first round of the playoffs for the first time in, well, ten years. I feel pretty bad for Cleveland, a team I've always hated, but that hate moved to South Beach when LeBron did. I think they've got some solid pieces and could potentially surprise people, especially having added a young point guard whose name escapes me...
Out west, I hate Sacramento for getting Cousins and Whiteside in the draft, but I'll tune in often to see DeMarcus and Tryeke go off. Add OKC and LAC to that list, the latter mostly because I think Griffin is going to be nasty this season.
Your turn-- what are your pet teams for 2010-11?
