2007 Draft Do-Over
SI's Ian Thomsen has Rodney Stuckey going eighth overall (to Charlotte), Jared Dudley as Detroit's #15 pick, Arron Afflalo moving up into the seventeenth slot, and Daequan Cook as Detroit's other first-round pick (at #27).

If Stuckey was off the board at 15
and we winded up taking Afflalo at that spot instead, would that mean that Joe would have over-valued Arron and traded Rip’s expiring contract instead of moving Chauncey?

Spellcheck is still a steal
And this draft is all kinds of retarded. He has Al Thornton going two spots HIGHER (14 to 12) than he did in ‘07. I mean, are you fucking serious? And what GM would take MIKE CONLEY over Stuckey, or Stuckey over Carl Landry? And I know Oden is injury prone, but even with a redo, he doesn’t fall from 1 to 10.

No way Oden falls past 3, even with his injury history IMO. Seven footers with talent are franchise players. You’d be stupid not to take a gamble.
I disagree
This redraft is done entirely based off hindsight (though some of the picks still don’t make sense). So if we’re doing it with the knowledge that he has played a total of 82 games over 3 seasons, and that his latest injury was completely spontaneous (looking at the replay, the only possible explanation is weak bone structure/surrounding fascia), I would argue that he should drafted even lower than 10.

Oh, and I love Jeff Green somehow still being picked 5th
Who the fuck would take him ahead of Marc Gasol? Not OKC, that’s for sure. This is a horrible, horrible list.

Jeff Green is the ultimate jack of all trades/master of none player.

Sort of.. Tay is pretty damn useful in some situations (stopping T-Mac and Kobe in their prime). He’s beginning to decline. But what does Jeff Green do, really? PF is the weak link on that team.

Well, true, but as big of a shot as that was, I think that was more of a mismatch on defense playing to his favor. And even Varejo hit a tre once to win a game. Green doesn’t impress me day in and day out.

Tay sans defense or efficient shooting for his position
For the life of me, I can’t understand why Presti doesn’t trade Green. Chemistry? He needs a legit Power Forward, and Green’s trade value is higher than his actual value.
