Wow, CP3 out kills NO’s playoff hopes, obviously. I wonder how that will affect how they approach the trade deadline.

What did I miss?

I was out of town, Thurs.-Sun., which I believe means I missed three Pistons losses. Sure, I can read the game threads and recaps (and actually probably will, because I have no life). But can somebody give me a summary of what went so horribly wrong?

I wouldn’t say it went “horribly” wrong … we just got beat by teams that are clearly better than us.

I know that sounds like I’m being pessimistic, but that’s really what happened.

I try to keep my wild speculative trades under a dozen players

Will Bynum & Jason Maxiell for Mike Bibby and the rights to Josh Childress?

Bibby is getting passed by Jeff Teague in ATL as PG but could be a servicable backup in Detroit. ATL gets two athletic players for a playoff run and the Pistons clean up some salary issues and settle down the guard rotation.

that's actually a trade that Atlanta would consider

in a sea of trades that will never happen because they’re so one sided for Detroit, this one could happen and I dont think I’d be mad

plus Childress would likely come back to play in the D

That sounds great...

because everyone knows all we need is yet another back-up point guard and small forward.

Don Nelson would be proud.

by brgulker on Feb 1, 2010 7:42 PM CST up reply actions

That would be cool.

but I think ATL is reluctant to make trades right now though- they are curbstomping the Celtics every time they meet- The hawks are the cream of the eastern conference as current assembled.

Alex English and All Of His 25,000 Career NBA Points, is Mentoring Amir on Offense

Nice guys sometimes do luck out.

First Sheed to teach Amir defense. (According to basketballvalue.com Amir is ranked #1 in the NBA in 1 Yr Defensive Rating)

Now he has Alex English, all 25,000 plus points in his NBA career, mentoring Johnson how to play offense.

What more could a young NBA big ask for? LOL. Seem like Amir is a good student.

Now he just needs Tayshaun Prince to teach him how to defend without fouling.

Great, a healthy squad, just in time for the Nets! Phew, I was worried for a minute.
