Tom Wilson takes job with Ilitch Holdings
He'll be heading up the team in charge of constructing the Red Wings' new arena.

This is probably a stupid on my part...
And it’s definitely a pretty big leap, but I wonder if this has anything to do with the rumor that Ilitch would be interested in buying the Pistons if they are indeed for sale.

But he might have a change of heart.
I think Wilson got out because Bill Davidson no longer owns the franchise, and figured the time was right.

that he’s more interested in building the new arena for the Wings, and that he’s not really a basketball fan. I don’t think he’ll go back on that, hopefully we can find someone else to keep them in the D
