Clippers and winning is almost an oxymoron. Next year this may change though. With $15-16 million in cap space this summer and promising players under contract, they may be able to lure a star free agent to L.A. Under contract for next season is Chris Kaman (underrated big man), Baron Davis (aka Chauncey), Blake Griffin (top draft pick), Eric Gordon (coming into a crucial 3rd year), and DeAndre Jordan (Pistons almost took him in 2008). They would have enough cap space to sign an elite free agent such as Bosh, Lebron, Wade, Stoudemire, Johnson, etc in the summer of '10. Now this won't make them a contender in the West by an means, but it could eventually put them back into the playoffs.
