Around SBN: NFL Roundtable: Which Draft Pick Is Most Likely To Bust?

Maxiell announced Tuesday that he is teaming up with the "Pistons Care Telethon and Food Bank Council of Michigan to raffle off his classic 1989 Chevrolet Camaro. Proceeds from the raffle will support the FBCM.

From March 16 through April 7, raffle tickets will be sold in increments of one ticket for $5, three tickets for $10 and 10 tickets for $20 for a chance to win Maxiell's vintage car. Pistons fans can purchase raffle tickets and enter this contest by visiting the kiosk stand in front of Section 110 during any Pistons home game or by visiting the information page at www.pistons.com.

The car will be displayed on the concourse of The Palace of Auburn Hills at all home games from March 16 through April 7 and photos can be viewed at www.pistons.com.

Maxiell will award the lucky contest winner with keys to his car during a special halftime ceremony on Fan Appreciation Night, April 12 vs. Toronto at The Palace of Auburn Hills (7:30 p.m.) and also present a check to FBCM."

And if you want to read about all his cars, you can link back to this post from November 2009.

Wait, when did circa 1989 cars become “classic”?

Yeah. I suddenly feel really old.

1983 here

Not quite 27 yet … and while I feel old the day after I play basketball, I refuse to believe that I actually am yet.

LOL@ the suddenly old guys

That’s quite a stable Maxy has. His Olds Cutlass is just gorgeous. I sure wouldn’t mind having that Camaro as a weekend cruiser though.

I've still never owned a car newer than 1990.

My Cherokee 2 door is the newest car I’ve ever had, all my motorcycles are from the 70s and earlier.

Circa 89 is classic to me due to the boxy lines, and the metal construction. They started going more plastic, little to no chrome, and more aero.
