I was expecting Terrance and Phillip-style humor.

Or at least Kids in the Hall. LeBron would be the gay one.

This was fantastic.

Johnson: I was told I was here to make the guys who play my position, D-Wade and Bron, look really, really good.

Bosh: What, you guys couldn’t have invited Carlos Boozer so that I could look good, too?

LeBron: You’re lucky we didn’t invite Dirk.

win!

I couldn’t have written it any better myself.

About damn time someone wrote about how overrated Joe is, and that Bosh isn’t truly elite (none of his teammates can hit clutch free throws, they’d have won a lot more games if they did)

I also like how this thing pointed out that Lebron and Wade won't be on a team together.

That’ll be like Shaq/Kobe part two. Those guys are alpha dogs, and there’s no way IN HELL. that they’ll be on the same team.

Plus, their styles are perhaps too similar to work together.

That would be an interesting debate: who would you build a team with, LeBron or Wade? LeBron is such a crazy super freak and can do everything except win it all, while Wade has proven he can win with scrubs and is crazy clutch offensively and defensively.

I'd take Wade

He doesn’t whine and bitch nearly as much as LeBron, he tends to be more like Kobe and just give the refs the silent treatment when he’s angry.

I think I’d go with Wade, too. Barely.

by garrettelliott on Jun 2, 2010 3:39 PM EDT up reply actions

I’d take LeBron. He’s three years younger and has proven more durable. Also, he plays better.

by Birdman84 on Jun 2, 2010 3:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Good question:

With Wade, he’s gonna do a pretty specific set of things very well. By now, we know what Dwyane Wade does. The thing is that with Lebron, you could transform him into whatever. He could be the next Magic Johnson or the next Larry Bird. Lebron isn’t as set yet, and I think that whoever you put around him would likely dictate his playing style. On the other hand, Wade does typical dominant guard stuff in a typical dominant guard fashion. So, it really depends what team I’m gonna get.

But as far as which one I like more? Dwyane Wade, easily. Dwyane is my fourth favorite player because he represents the demonic portion of the Michael Jordan legacy. Sure, Kobe’s got the elder statesman/samurai thing, and Lebron’s got the marketing dollars, but Dwyane Wade exemplifies to me the whole “I will dunk on your ass and then walk around like I just got out of bed with Scarlett Johannsen” attitude. Kobe has that, too, (the tap) but Kobe has his megalomaniac devotion to basketball moreso than his attitude. It’s almost id, ego, and superego, and Dwyane Wade is the id.

In other words, Dwyane Wade’s just a nasty motherfucker.

The thing I like about Dwyane Wade is that he has that X factor that wins ball games. It doesn’t matter what’s needed — he’ll do it. Whether it’s a steal in the final seconds, a block, a 3, a dunk, an assist, it doesn’t matter. If Dwyane Wade is on the court the Miami Heat have a chance to win the game. LeBron gets his numbers, but I don’t feel as confident with him that he’ll make the killer instinct play to win the game that I know Wade would.

or LeBron could become KG

Just a whiny bitch who never wins anything despite all the talent not only but his team has.

If LeBron bothered to actually lead the team and get his teammates motivated, there’s no question they would be playing the Lakers right now. He wouldn’t even have to average more than 20 points as long he got people the ball where they needed it.

“His agent was the Darko of all of our agents.”
