The summer league boys take the court at 10:30 ET. What, you thought I was talking about something else?
The Pistons are looking to rebound from a thrashing at the hands of a Kings squad that simply seemed to be in another league. Here are some things to watch for.
Greg Monroe's motor: When Detroit drafted him, my primary concern was his conditioning, and it appears those were well founded. Alright, fine. But we need to see some evidence that he is willing to get into the mix and throw down. Right now, he is just treading water, and that's disconcerting.
Austin Daye's role: I'm inclined to chalk up Daye's miserable game three performance to being nicked up and giving the other guys a chance to shine. But enough of all that, okay?
Can Koshwal earn a roster spot?: Hard to deny him if he keeps averaging a rebound every two minutes.
MFTW: Terrico White was one of the few players who didn't embarrass himself on Monday, but he also lived up to his reputation for going ghost for extended periods. It will be interesting to see if he can assert himself on offense while maintaining his efficiency.
Can we get some air time?: Thus far, Detroit's summer league games have been interrupted by the Miami Douche Carnival and a random David Stern press conference. Tonight, the Kings and Pistons are playing at the same time for some reason. Sigh...
What do you think? Talk about everything!
