Terrico White 2010 Summer League Mix (HD)
Terrico White 2010 Summer League Mix (HD) Hey guys. I'm trying to get the individual player highlights up as soon as possible. I decided to start with Monroe's first and Terrico's second. Dajaun Simmers will be next followed by Daye and Jerebko. For best results wait for the entire video to load in 720p.(Be patient with it because the video was just uploaded.) I will try getting the Dajaun Summers' video up tonight and the rest should be finished during the next couple of days.
[Ed. note - Following the lead of my esteemed colleagues, I've embedded the video and front paged this sucka. These are unbelievable and I appreciate you doing them, N4D. - Packey]

That boy looks good out there.
But I guess that’s what highlights are for. I remember watching D. Washington’s highlights last year and thinking the same thing. BTW nice vid NFD
The Miami Heat are a bunch of Bandwagon Ass Cats !
I love that play where the amir johnson lookin dude passes it from under the basket to white at the corner. He has to jump to grab it, comes down and actually head fakes to the basket while he’s landing, but then pops back up with a J b4 the defender can figure out how he caught the bad pass in the first place.
That would be pretty great, actually
I always liked Flip. He always played well if Chauncey was out, seemed to perform better the more minutes he got. Not a great player, but a solid backup, change of pace kinda guy.
exactly.
Plus if I remember right Flip had some pretty good hops himself.

Flip was a crappy back-up but an awesome starter.
For some reason, he always stepped his game up when given a chance to start. Like when Ray Allen went down and he put up 19-4-4.

I see a lot of old school Rip
Pure shooter, above average athleticism (or freakish in Terrico’s case), can utilize screens well, but not a very good ball handler (yet). If anything, Terrico could be a great complimentary SG for a game controlling point guard like Chauncey or Chris Paul etc as he’s shown that he can be very efficient off the ball (he shot I believe 65% from the field until they asked him to create his own shots)

That's a nice lookin' stroke
The ball hits the net like a Chauncey 3-pointer.
This signature is false.
not to me
The stroke is very fluid and the ball hardly ever touches the rim. More importantly, streaky shooters like Gordon or Vinnie Johnson generally either shoot line drives or put massive arc on their shot, and thus when they’re on, ever shots falls in, but the slightest change in motion can cause the ball to clank off the front/back end of the rim. Terrico’s shot is closer to Chauncey/Rip than it is Gordon.
The only exception that I can think of in terms of streaky shooter having a pure shooter’s touch would be Ray Allen. For the life of me, I’ve never been able to figure out why a guy like him with arguably the best touch in the league can go ice cold at times, but then put up 60 on 25 shots the next game (especially in the playoffs). You would think that Ray would at worst shoot 40% and go ballistic from there in a week’s worth of play, but he’s anywhere from 10% to 80% depending on said week.

wudnt that make him a streaky shooter...
I mean i know its not true…but you do kinda have to think about it…HE does go turrible smtimes. Oh and I think Gordon has potential at beeing a pure shooter…he just needs a starting roster spot, I for one actually have faith in that dude.

Gordon has historically been a very streaky shooter
You saw him pull that 40 point game out of no where when he was epically sucking just a few days before. I don’t think you can change a player like that out of the sudden.
But just because you go cold some nights doesn’t necessarily mean you are a streaky shooter, the quality of the shots also is important. Gordon generally shoots the exact same type of shots on a nightly basis, many of which being long 2s (worst shot in the game). However Terrico went from crazy efficient to brick machine when he stopped playing off the ball and they asked him to create for himself, and thus the quality of his shots decreased. Whenever you have a key element that caused said shooting slump, by definition it isn’t the player being streaky, but rather a certain notable element negatively affecting their performance that can be removed.

I wonder if there is really such a thing as a streak shooter.
Statistically, it’s been proven that the “hot hand” phenomenon is a fallacy.
You mentioned statistics and...

I think one thing that could affect White's shooting touch is his vertical
He jumps quite high on his jumpshot which over the period of the game could impact his shot. He won’t be able to maintain that kind of height in his vertical which at the very least initiates the fluidity of his shot over the entirety of a game but don’t think this is as much of an issue if he’s playing 10-15 minutes at most per game to start.

set shots are preferred for range anyways
You want to take out as much noise from the system as possible, which is why you see the best 3 point shooters hardly jumping more than a few inches off the ground into their range shots. Even Stuckey has started taking set 3s and he started making a few on a consistent basis

agreed...my point was just that if you watch Terrico's shot off the dribble,
he elevates considerably and that could ultimately impact his consistency.

Big Three doesn't guarantee a championship
Just look at Jason Kidd, Jim Jackson and Jamal Mashburn.
Still…Toni Braxton is hot.
haha
the example jokingly given on the article was jason kidd, kerry kittles and keith van horn. made me chuckle.
Too bad that song sucked
Given it came directly after what I think could be described as the best song the Beastie Boys ever did makes it that much worse.

I like heart attack man better of the two, but felt the pain playing pick up against 5-6 220 lb. dudes on tough guy. And c’mon, even if it’s hate, it’s still an ode to lamb, which is kinda sweet. Where’s the “fuck charles barkley” song? That’s what i thought.
