Miami Heat
Just a quick thought to start everyone's mornings. It seems to me that if the Heat were to win a championship with what they are assembling (CF Juwan Howard signs with Heat) the MVP should almost certainly be their training staff. Wade and Bosh have been notoriously fragile through their careers, and their team looks to be old and creaky at best (I mean Magloire, Ilgauskas, seriously?).
By the way, does anybody ELSE here remember the way Carlos Arroyo pounded the air out of the ball and wasted away the shot clock?
Thoughts?

Wade had two really tough injury years. His rookie year wasn’t good either. But he’s also had four years of 70+ games played, including the last two. Presumably, he’ll have to carry the team a lot less, which may help him avoid getting into risky situations.
Bosh is a little tougher to gauge.
Good observation, it’s not something I’d thought much about.
As far as Arroyo goes, I’m guessing he won’t have the ball in his hands that much, at least if he wants to stay on the floor!
here's what I think of the Heat

Do you really think Arroyo will actually touch the ball outside of end of shot clock 3 pointers playing with Lebron/Wade/Bosh?
And Chalmers is starting correct? Arroyo would be back up?
Jonas Jerebko once killed a charging female rhinoceros in heat protecting its young with nothing more than a hook shot.
Arroyo
I imagine they are bringing Arroyo back to back up (although he did start a chunk of last season). The point is the most difficult positions to fill are 1 and 5 and Miami is going to be stocked at 1 and 5 with junk. I admire Pat Reilly’s commitment to “mad” science, but this strategy is actually as risky as all hell (one injury and you’re screwed) and like bglurker I don’t see much comment on it.
being a point guard in miami's offense means
standing around on offense and waiting for the corner three. its kind of like the way derrick fisher plays on the lakers.
sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyit
I can do that. I won’t make any of those threes, but I can do that. Where’s my ring at.

Wade...
already has a history of injury and has missed long stretches of time in his career. He is not getting younger. I see an injury making the Heat look very foolish this year.
He's been pretty healthy lately, but yeah, look at the Heat post-title run
That team lives & dies with Wade. Trust James and Bosh with bringing you a title? Even together that is not a lock.
