Don Shane speaks with Chris Ilitch about the possibility of Ilitch Holdings/Olympia Entertainment buying the Pistons. Ilitch says they are "very excited" and that they are going to do everything they can to pursue the organization, but if it doesn't work out they'll be alright.

Three out of four?
Then they only need to pry the Lions out of the Ford’s hands.
My two favorite teams are the Tigers and Brewers. Drunk tigers. That sounds about right.
Me in 140 characters
I’m starting to get optimistic about the Lions. They’re making the right moves and Ford’s son (who has seemingly taken control of the team) actually seems to care about the team, something his father never really did.

There Was A Reason
Why Henry Ford II got to run the car company, and WCF got to run the football team (or in other words, have nothing to do with the car company).
When WCF decided to keep Martin Mayhew on, I groaned like everyone else. But his first move was to almost immediately hijack Jerry Jones, trading Roy Williams for three high draft picks. That deal was very impressive, especially considering that Williams still can’t hold on to the ball in Dallas. So, with Mayhew and now Jim Schwarz, they may on to something in terms of building an organization.
As we know from dealing with and without Mr. D., the organization is everything. If you still don’t believe me, ask Joe D. how he likes the current arrangement.
