My Rip Trade Idea

Trade for injured Caron Butler and get Rip off the team

Star-divide

Dallas gets

G Rip Hamilton

Detroit gets

Caron Butler

Dallas 2nd Round pick

Move on, give Rip a chance at redemption...

but if we could add Jason Maxiel going to Dallas and we get JJ Barea then i would love this trade. Dalas needs another scorer and we desperatley need to get Rip off the Pistons. We need the cap relief as well as a new start.

I could do what Rip is doing this year

I have a lot of experience sitting on the bench when I was in high school. In fact, virtually anybody could do what Rip has done this year in all but about three games. What you have to do is tell teams that he can get his mojo back with a change of scenery. Lets spread out on other teams blogs and spread the message.

Maybe this is a dream trade, but still, greedy thought from me

Detroit trades:
Rip Hamiltong
Jason Maxiell
Ben Wallace
dajuan summers
2nd round pick

Dallas trades:
Caron Butler
Brendan Haywood

Not going to happen

Dallas just got Peja who was waived. They seem content to go wit those kind of cheap fixes and keep Caron for his expiring. I can see if they were playing better but Dirk’s health is iffy, the team isn’t deep. Cuban would be smart to hold onto Butler’s expiring deal.

Butler/Roddy Beaubois for Tay is about what you can swing. You get a cheap decent PG prospect for swapping a healthy Tay for a hurt Butler. Anything beyond that is fantasy.

I still think an offer of TMac + Rip would have them thinking. Two rotation caliber players for Butler’s expiring might be as good as they could do, and you’d think they’d be willing to go all in this year given the age of their team.

Resigning Stuckey would be a massive mistake, he can’t play point and BG is better at the two. For the money he’s gonna cost the best move would be to trade him now.

MFDLN!!

Interesting, I’d never thought about it that way before.
