Knicks in lead for Chandler
Knicks are apparently now in the lead for Tyson Chandler, which, according to Ken Berger, would mean Chauncey gets amnesty'd. Billussance?

I don't know about that one.
I read an article from the CSN Bay Area website that Tyson Chandler already has on offer on the table from the Warriors that goes around the realm of 4 years and $60M.
I think the chances are good that Chandler will be heading to Golden State unless the Mavericks swoop in at the last second to make a superior offer, which could possibly happen with a big-spender like Mark Cuban writing the checks.
Oh, wait...
… I see what you mean now, as I just read this blog entry from CBS Sports regarding Tyson Chandler:

Interesting turn of events we have here. There’s no question in my mind that the Knicks would have the best front line in the league if they can pull this off.
I’d rather have Bynum and Gasol 8 days a week.
I’d also rather have Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson.
I’d also rather have Josh Smith and Al Horford.
I’d also rather have Greg Monroe and Jonas Jerebko!

As far as C-PF combos go, there may be comparable or better pairings than Chandler and Stoudemire. But I would be hard-pressed to find another NBA team putting out a better C-PF-SF frontline combo than Chandler, Stoudemire and Anthony. That’s a beastly line.
They are reportedly looking to add Chandler as a replacement for Stoudemire. They want to send Amare to NO for Paul.
An update to the Tyson Chandler saga has been posted. It’s slated to be a 4-year, $58M offer coming from the Knicks.
And surprisingly, the article states that the Mavericks will likely not offer a competitive long-term extension for Chandler.
Weird. I just watched the Mavs’ championship DVD and there’s basically an entire homage to Chandler and the defensive intensity and toughness he brought to the team. That would be brutal if they didn’t even try to keep him after he helped them win it all.

They have no chance of a repeat if they lose Chandler.
