So I will say here for the final time
I thought he was a useful piece for us.
And now, our 4-5 slots are filled with: Monroe, Jerebko, CV, and whatever Big Ben has left. Hmm.
He was very useful for us
But he’s up their in age and wants to be a useful piece for a contender. Although I don’t know how much the Celts have in them. Wish he would’ve went somewhere else to compete.
I’m hoping Jonas Jerebko can fill in and provide what Chris Wilcox brought offensively. Wilcox became a pretty good pick & roll finisher while with the Pistons. Maybe Jerebko can execute them just as well once he develops a rapport with the guards.
Fortunately I don’t think much was lost defensively with Wilcox gone.
There has to be one more big man added to the roster
There just has to be. If it’s Kris Humphries, I’ll give JOD a slow clap. But anyone tall, basically, at this point.

have any other teams expressed interest in him?
I haven’t heard any rumors so far. Even if he’s last on Joe D’s list of tall people that don’t rebound, his price might be too good for the Pistons to ignore
Without a doubt, squats are a cure for everything.

For what it's worth, he was a 5 star recruit
I have no clue why he didn’t do that much in college (perhaps it was better competition or something emotional) – but the measurables say that he is a gifted athlete. He’s 245 lbs but had a better vertical and 3/4 court sprint than Stuckey. To me that says that’s a dude that not only does his squats, but deadlifts for fun afterwards (totally serious).
The big thing is he’s too bulky to be a mobile weak side shot blocker like Big Ben, but with the right attitude and coaching, he could be a very solid post defender.

I don’t know why A. It is so hard for these chowderheads to grasp this concept and B. Why they don’t want that for themselves. Especially in Detroit.

farewell He-finally-could-cox
Odds are he was just playing for a contract, but I really enjoyed watching him last year alongside Monroe

It’s funny how, with all the talk of league parity, every time a player’s name comes up recently in the news it’s to say they want to sign with the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, or Heat. What about the other 26 teams? Maybe I was just naive or didn’t follow the league enough when I was younger, but I don’t remember things being like this in the 80s and 90s.
