Tracy has been extremely good for us here. And we would like to go forward with him. We really like his play on the floor. But also, just as importantly, we like the person that he is. We like the leadership that he brings. We like the veteran, professional approach that he brings. We like all of those things about Tracy. We would like to go forward with him.

Man, Joe D should really step up to the plate and fix this mess. Forget Q, forget Karen Davidson, forget Tom Gores, just FIX THINGS.

There’s nothing here that hints that McGrady has given up. He is merely commented upon what he sees—

• The leagues most poorly balanced roster
• An All-Star and long time franchise cornerstone is benched without explanation
• At least a dozen explosions of discontent in the press
• A team that goes into the half time locker ahead a majority of the time, but which plays
     worse than any team in the League (Cavs excepted) in the second half
• Long term player pretty much publicly quits—calling playing .600 ball against a very
     schedule “nearly impossible”—and the GM announces that he’s part of the team’s
     future

I just see a huge difference between labeling the past six months “dysfunctional” (which is has undeniably been), and publicly projecting this into a prediction of future failure.

But the kicks will probably compete at the finals so GOOO CHAUNCEYY!
