Those two are my favorite point guards of the draft outside of the top 3 (Irving/Knight/Kemba). Out of all the top 20 assist/per game pgs, Darius, Isaiah, and Demitri seem to be the only ones considered NBA material this year (Kendall Marshall is next year's best pure pg). I'd prefer to take Darius Morris in the 2nd round, because of his height and defensive capabilities, and he's probably the best passer in the draft. But he's getting a lot of traction and probably won't be available at 33. But take a look at Isaiah Thomas's stats: same games played less minutes per game same turnovers per game exact same assist per 40 minutes - 7.6 PLAYER TEAM GP MPG AST APG TO TOPG AP40M AST/TO Darius Morris, G MICH 33 34.9 220 6.7 99 3.0 7.6 2.22 Isaiah Thomas, G WASH 33 31.8 198 6.0 99 3.0 7.6 2.00 Since the Pistons 2nd need (after a talented hard working big man) is a role playing point guard that can pass, and has natural court vision... I think Isaiah Thomas is more likely to be available with our 3rd pick (52) , i'd love to give him a try. He also happens to be a capable scorer. He's undersized, but could be the steal of the draft in terms of pure PG talent.
