Vincent Goodwill: Good luck, DaJuan
Vincent Goodwill posted a glowing tribute to DaJuan Summers:
"It's not a stretch for me to say Summers and Greg Monroe were probably the most mature players in that locker room this season. Summers would probably be a mature player in a veteran locker room that didn't have any dysfunction, too.
Other scouts and executives would often ask the media why he wasn't playing. With his collegiate credentials, physical makeup and youth, more than a few people thought he should've been playing more.
One coach compared him to Lakers swingman Shannon Brown (Michigan State), saying his next stop is where he'll get his opportunity and find his niche in the league.
DaJuan and I would often talk before games, whether he was active or inactive. It didn't take long for me to figure out why he stayed away from the fray.
He considers himself a role model. He has a young son and he would often say, "how would I explain this to him if I got involved with this craziness?"

Someone needs to do an exposé on the Kuester years. In my mind I picture that scene in Children of Men when the refugees battle the army and all hell breaks loose, except it’s during practice.
