He’s making more money and play more than he would here. After the team re-signed Prince, it wouldn’t make any sense at all for him to come back here at all, actually.

a) he gets to develop and get substantial playing time
b) he would likely be cut if he signed here, although only in Detroit can one be the #4 SF on a depth chart
c) he will be most likely the backup SF here next year

Singler is one of the reasons (I have several) that Tay will be dealt. In 2012, you’ll have 3 guys who can competently play the 3 besides Tay (and yes, there is no coincidence between Tay being out and Daye dropping 28 on the Heat-something’s definitely going on there)
