Vincent Goodwill in the Detroit News reports: Ben Wallace wasn't at Media Day, nor will he be a camp invitee, although he's still hoping for a spot to open up. The Pistons didn't want to risk having to cut Wallace, considering they have 15 guaranteed contracts. It doesn't mean he's been out of sight, or out of mind. He's been working out with the team, giving pointers to the likes of Drummond, who spoke about Wallace with praise. "Some of the stuff he taught me, I can't put into words," Drummond said. "Just how to play this game, how to be successful in this league. He's embedded it in my head." Prince hopes the Pistons find a way to make room for Wallace. "I think it'll be very important for the sake of Greg ( Monroe ) and Andre and Slava ( Kravtsov )," Prince said. "It'll be nice to beat them up a little bit in practice and show them what it's like in the real game."
