The Detroit Pistons bring their young and exciting team (shut up Tayshaun) to battle the much... different looking Orlando Magic on Wednesday, November 21 at 7PM. Hopefully, the Pistons will give their fans something to be thankful about on this Thanksgiving-Eve clash between teams headed in opposite directions (hopefully).
I'd like to invite all my DBB brethren (and sisters) to join me for this game. I dare say our last meetup at the lovely Amway Center was a smashing success... other than the putrid performance put in by the pusillanimous Pistons that eve. The gentleman Messrs Payne and Bugman joined yours truly for an evening of revelry and bad basketball. Hopefully this fall's meetup will still include the revelry and much less bad basketball (at least from the good guys, er, Bad Boys.)
While I realize many have family obligations over the Thanksgiving holiday, I would simply suggest one thing: Bring them all to Orlando! Apparently, we're one of the most visited cities in the world. There's tons of fun stuff you can send those less interested in basketball off to do (Orlando: Now with more Lego Land!) while you chill with your homies at the game.
Last year's close-to-the-front-of-the-lip-of-the-upper-deck tickets were very reasonable coming in at approximately $25. Pricing this year appears similar to last, although the product on the court will undoubtedly be inferior.
Pricing break-down as follows:
Upper Deck Corners - $22
Upper Deck Ends or sides - $32
Lower Deck Ends - $50
Club Level Ends - $52
Lower Deck Corners - $80-$100
Club Level sides - $115
Lower Deck Sides - $118-$262
I will poke around to find lower prices for any given section, but this is a pretty good starting point for pricing.
Since I can't figure out how to get the darn polls to work in this new format (I don't see any blasted "Attach Poll" dialog), just sound off in the comments below if you have interest in attending. If so, also let me know how many tickets you might like and what section you would prefer to sit in.
I'll try and buy tickets no later than October 22 based on the results of this thread.
