The Detroit Pistons were beating the Orlando Magic 48-45 at halftime. Then the second half happened.

The Pistons couldn't shoot and couldn't defend. They were blitzed 18-0 before Rodney Stuckey stopped the bleeding with a free throw. They didn't score a basket until Stuckey scored with 2 minutes left in the quarter. And the fourth quarter was even worse only because it featured very little of Andre Drummond and way too much of Charlie Villanueva.

Villanueva played horrible defense and bricked five shots in 10 minutes. He also helped make Andrew Nicholson (7-for-9, 15 points) look like the steal of the draft.

In the end, the Pistons were outscored 45-26 in the second half and shot something like 15 percent. I don't know. I'm too depressed to check.

This game just further affirmed that Will Bynum and Corey Maggette should be in danger of losing their spots in the rotation and that the Pistons need to somehow find a real point guard by any means possible as long as it doesn't involve trading Greg Monroe (19 points, 8 rebounds, mostly in the first quarter) or Andre Drummond.

If this game was Thanksgiving, the Magic were the pilgrims and the Pistons were the Indians who were cheated out of their land, slaughtered and given deadly diseases.
