Sean posted Sunday night that guard Rodney Stuckey aggravated a foot injury during the Pistons overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Whether or not Stuckey will miss multiple games is still to be seen, but he did miss yesterday's practice and is considered a game-time decision for tonight's game against the Nuggets [via Detroit News]:
Pistons strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander said it's nothing scientific about Stuckey's injury, and he'll be a game-time decision today against the Nuggets in Denver.
"Whatever he says, he's a genius," Stuckey said, referring to Kander. [...]
"He's been getting treatment over the last couple of days and we'll see where he's at," Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said. "He's been dealing with it for a while, so we evaluate it every day."
The injury apparently happened in Sacramento and progressively got worse before becoming somewhat disabling in Los Angeles. Stuckey managed to average 29 points (on 55% shooting) and seven assists in the Sacramento and Phoenix games despite the injury. But I'm in agreement that he probably shouldn't play again until healthy, when we're sure games like the one he put up in LA aren't the result of injury rather than simply having a classic Stuckey off-game.
