When I signed up for this thread, I planned on posting a collection of JaVale McGee derptastic photos, videos, and GIFs, and then copying/pasting the same "Keys to the Game" that have been used since the MCIAFI days.
Now that McGee has been traded to the Nuggets, two things have happened. (1) I had to actually write a game preview, and (2) this.
I still think that the ball was in the cylinder. Not that I'm bitter or anything.
Anyway, now that McGee and his horrible pickup lines are gone, the Wizards are relying heavily on Trevor Booker, Kevin Seraphin, and Nene for frontcourt minutes. Booker is dealing with some plantar fasciitis, which might limit his effectiveness. Chris Singleton continues to play mediocre basketball on the wing. Bebounds should be plentiful for the Pistons' front line.
In the backcourt,
Jamal Jordan Crawford has taken over the starting shooting guard role for the Wizards now that Nick Young is a Clipper. This means that Roger Mason, Shelvin Mack, and D-League call-up Edwin Ubiles are getting decent minutes off the bench. Kentucky would beat this team.
Keys to the game:
Feed the Moose: Copied and pasted until he is no longer a Piston.
Stop John Wall: Wall leads the Wizards in just about every statistical category except rebounding. Don't let him get 15 assists like he did last time.
Run: The Wizards are playing their 3rd game of a back-to-back-to-back and 5th in 6 nights. Neither team is particularly deep and/or talented, so the Pistons' fresher legs could provide the difference.
Question of the game:
How many $8 beers can I drink before the fact that I only spent 80 cents on my ticket no longer matters?
