What do you all think about that flagrant foul Charlie Villanueva gave to Isaiah Thomas last night?

I wanted to go on record as saying I liked it. I was curious if others felt the same way. I watched the replay and yes he pushed off Thomas so it was an intentional foul, but I didnt' think it was all that violent. In my opinion though it sent a message.

We've all clamored for Charlie to be tougher on defense. We've all clamored for the team to get more of an attitude. We've all clamored for this team to develop a little more swagger as just the medicine to make it more of a winner.

In a small, unpretentious way Charlie Villanueva sent us all a message. He had to know he'd be fined $20,000 to $35,000 for this act. Yet, he committed the foul I think to show other teams, that the Pistons won't be or aren't all nice guys.Maybe the next little guy that drives thru the middle of the lane will think about it. They've got to be thinking a lot more with Andre Drummond on the court blocking more and more shots, but now it's not just that, Detroit has a Bad Boy.

Three games don't make a season, and I'm not trying to give CV too much credit, but he took a small step to showing the NBA that the Pistons aren't going to be slouches anymore.

I wonder what everyone on the Pistons thought. Did they take it as a stupid play? Or, did they take it as a sign of something more?

I wonder how those in the Piston Community here took it, too.Please let me know by answering my poll.
