There seem to be a few available shooting guards. Sacramento has been shopping Thornton and Jimmer (maybe a better back up pg) i heard... it wouldn't take too much to get either i assume, and Thornton's making 8 million this year and 8.5 next year.. which would be another expiring contract should things not work out, I think Jimmer's is 2.57 mil/year, and from what I've read we could fetch them for Singler and maybe another player just to make salaries work. Also, Cleveland is shopping 2nd year guard and 4th overall pick Dion Waiters. Some combination of Varejao (around 9 million per year), Waiters and possibly Bennett would be tempting. I doubt we could get the Cavs first round draft pick next year, although they can have up to 3 different first round picks in 2014 Sacramento (top 12 protected) and Miami's (top 10 protected). The Knicks have also made Iman Shumpert available for trade discussions, and although we need more defense, I don't know if another shooting guard who can't shoot is the best option.
While Waiters shooting touch doesn't seem to be so great inside the 3 point line, outside of it he's shooting just fine, something we havent been able to get going all year. Which team would you like to see the Pistons work with the most? Or do you believe the Pistons should just stand pat?
