Kyle Singler, Kevin Love battle in 2006 Oregon high school state final

The first of a three-part series produced by Pistons.com detailing the high school battles between Oregon prep stars Kyle Singler and Kevin Love.

The Pistons do a really good job with their Road to the Motor City series of videos, and this is no different, detailing Kyle Singler and Kevin Love as high school juniors playing in the 2006 Oregon state final.

Singler has a chance to renew his rivalry with Love when the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Palace on Dec. 10. This coming Monday, Singler returns to his old Oregon stomping grounds when the Pistons play the Trail Blazers.

If old high school footage of future NBA players is your thing ... you owe it to yourself to check out Gunnin' for That #1 Spot, a 2008 documentary produced by Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys detailing a Rucker Park game between eight elite high school players from 2006.

Singler and Love are featured prominently, as is Brandon Jennings. The other five players all made it to the NBA, as well: Jerryd Bayless, Michael Beasley, Tyreke Evans, Donte Greene, Lance Stephenson. Here's the trailer:
