The Suns are shopping some of their picks for an established good player. Now of course there were a bunch of delusional Suns fans saying,
This makes no sense because you don't trade two of the most valuable players in the NBA for picks in return, but then I came upon a nice looking offer for Greg Monroe. Greg Monroe and Will Bynum for Alex Len, Gerald Green, and a 1st Round Pick. We all know Bynum sucks so that is just a throw in, but Alex Len is a young, big bodied, high potential, talented seven-footer. He has some injury issues that need to be solved but has a solid jump shot and nice touch inside, he also can become a good rim protector. He can back up Andre Drummond for the next 2-3 years. At that point Dumars would have to decide if he thinks Len and Drummond can play together or he will have to trade Len. Gerald Green seems like he has been in the NBA forever and is best known for blowing out a cupcake while dunking but the kid can play. He is only 27, he isn't a great all-around player but he shoots 37% from deep and plays average defense holding his man to a 15.8 PER. Obviously he wouldn't be our Small Forward of the future but he would be more successful than Josh Smith is now. The first round pick should be a lottery pick, The Suns have four and will presumably be giving the Pistons one of the higher ones.
If Dumars wants to trade Monroe as bad as everyone seems to think, then he has to take this trade as it is the best offer he is going to get.
